Terms and conditions
Payment for Lessons
- Once committed to lessons, an invoice will be issued for a half term in advance
- Invoices are issued at the start of each half term to be paid by the given date.
- Payment is required by cash or direct online banking
- Exam fees (when required) are paid by High Notes in advance and will be charged prior to exams being taken.

Student Absence
- Lessons cancelled through student absence are non refundable but can possibly be rescheduled with sufficient notice. This is entirely at the tutor’s discretion and convenience.
Tutor Absence
- If a lesson has to be cancelled due to tutor absence, every effort will be made to arrange an alternative “catch up” time. If the lesson cannot be arranged within the course of the same half term, the lesson fee will be deducted so effectively credited on the next invoice.
Prolonged Absence
- If a student is absent for 2 consecutive lessons without prior notice, the lesson slot may be offered to a pupil on the waiting list and the lesson time may therefore be lost and no longer available.
Cancellation of Lessons
- 2 weeks notice are required for termination of music lessons.
Music Books
From time to time, students will be required to purchase music for their lessons. Tutors will advise parents when new books or exam books and fees are required. Good websites include musicroom.com and ABRSM or Rockschool for exam grade books.
We are happy to order music for you if required with cost added to invoices or payable on receipt.
